Sculpt the terrain using UE's landscape mode. Create backdrop hills to fill the horizon at all angles (important for reflections), then carve a horseshoe recess that'll become the lake. The smooth tool softens harsh edges. Add a plane at water level to preview the final shape.
Download the Datasmith exporter plugin matching your UE version, export from SketchUp, and import into your scene. The landscape was sized by eye—if scale feels off, adjust the terrain rather than the building. Apply basic textures so you can start seeing the composition take shape.

Fine-tune the post-process volume for colour grading—add that papery tint from the Kraken reference. Adjust atmospheric fog density, enable god rays, and check each camera angle. The riverbank detail gets refined; grass covers any gaps. Small tweaks compound into a polished result.
Enable enhanced Lumen settings for cleaner reflections and sharper global illumination. These options are hidden by default—once enabled, they integrate into the project. The visual jump in reflection quality is significant, especially on the water and glass.
Create sequences for each camera, animate camera movement with keyframes, and render via the movie render queue. Console variables unlock higher quality settings for final output. Export as image sequences, then compile in After Effects with title cards and music if needed.
